Merry Christmas! Today we celebrate with the envy of the Angel’s:

From Angel’s Envy,

During the aging process, the 5% of spirit lost each year is known as the “Angel’s Share.” After tasting our finished whiskey, Lincoln joked that we had finally struck a better deal than the angels. And so, Angel’s Envy was born.

The distillery is a relative newcomer to the scene, having opened in 2010, but they’re making a name for themselves on their excellent cask-finished bourbons. Taking their core bourbon recipe and finishing it for a few months in port barrels adds a “subtle sweetness” and “richness” to the bourbon. They also experiment with rum, sherry, and/or mizunara barrels.
